Marvin Council compromises on new mixed use zoning district

The question of whether Marvin will allow a major shopping center project had stymied the adoption of specific a zoning ordinance needed for the developer to apply. Newly appointed  Council member Terri Patton proposed the compromise text that enabled a majority adoption of the text. Ms. Patton was named to replace Lanny Openshaw who is now serving as a county commissioner.
